While major medical insurance is not part of our core business model (in house administration, retirement and supplemental insurance products) we use our experience and relationships to outsource this product line for our customers. The most pressing issue at this time, seems to be the changes in TRS (Texas only) and major medical insurance.  Proposed regulations state that schools that have been part of TRS may be forced out or pressed to continue on with a long term commitment to the program. This specific situation may be a Texas only issue at this time, but we believe our Customers in all states are facing big decisions and capital expenditures associated with major medical insurance. We feel confident in Alliant’s understanding of the TRS medical issue and their approach to finding solutions for our Customers.
